What Stays in Place
Suitable cabinet boxes and the existing layout remain in place. We review the boxes, attachment, door openings, drawers and finish condition before recommending refacing.
Approved scope may include new doors and drawer fronts, concealed hinges where compatible, knobs and pulls, finished panels, exposed face/frame refinishing and selected modifications. Hardware compatibility and repair needs are confirmed for your cabinets.
Repainting or refinishing changes the coating on retained components. Refacing replaces visible components such as doors and drawer fronts. Full replacement removes and replaces the cabinet boxes. These are different scopes.
Finishing newly fabricated ATX cabinetry is another scope: the new components and finish are approved for that cabinet project. The preparation needed for an existing coating can differ from finishing new wood.

1. Initial review: Share photos, the project city, your goals and any budget or timeline preferences.
2. Compare options: We review refacing, refinishing and replacement against the cabinet condition and the changes you want.
3. Confirm conditions: Measurements, structure, attachment, appliance changes and hardware compatibility are checked before final scope approval.
4. Approve selections: Confirm doors, drawer fronts, panels, exposed frames, finish samples, hardware and any modifications in writing.
5. Prepare and fit: Components are fabricated or sourced for the approved scope. Custom components are installed and fully field-fitted before the standard final finishing stage.
6. Finish and complete: We protect and contain the area, complete final preparation and approved finishing, allow the required cure, then reassemble, adjust hardware, touch up and clean up. The finishing plan identifies any justified prefinishing exception.
